Education

The Argonia United School District #359 has a long tradition of excellence in academics and activities. The Argonia Elementary School offers three and four year old preschool and all day Kindergarten. The Jr.Sr. High School's curriculum includes home economics, industrial technology, business computers and Interactive Distance Learning. The IDL supports adult continuing education and college level courses.

The students of USD #359 have achieved Standard of Excellence on Kansas Assessments in all four areas assessed.

Argonia High School is classified 1A by the KSHSAA and is a South Central Border League member. Their sports teams have consistently placed well in competition.

The Dixon Township Library is located in Argonia, providing a wide variety of books as well as a year-round reading program and story time for children and internet access for the public.
