Highways - Belle Plaine is located on Highway 55 just 3 miles from I-35 and 4 miles from US Highway 81. The first Welcome Center as you come into Kansas from the south on I-35 is the Belle Plaine Travel Plaza.

Railroad - Belle Plaine is bordered on the west by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and is part of the recently completed double-tracking project from Chicago to California.

Airports - Belle Plaine is just 9 miles from the Wellington Municipal Airport and approximately 19 miles from from Wichita Mid-Continent Airport.
