WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS FOR SUMNER COUNTY
The Sumner County Economic Development Commission is here to assist your business with your workforce needs. We will work with you to access training programs, conduct job fairs, post job openings, recruit employees and assist you with any other workforce needs you may have. Kansas Industrial Retraining Program (KIR):

Workforce Solutions Fund: The Workforce Solutions Fund allows the Secretary of Commerce to help post-secondary training institutions throughout the state respond more effectively to the needs of Kansas businesses. Funds are strategically invested into projects designed to enhance Kansas post-secondary institutions’ training services and/or training facilities for the benefit of all Kansas companies. The Secretary may elect to support a specific training project if the capability of Kansas training institutions to meet business training needs is clearly improved as a result.

For your convenience Workforce Solutions maintains an office in Wellington to serve the needs of Sumner County. It is located at 107 S. Washington, and the telephone number is 620-326-2659. Current hours are Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30aM-12:00PM and 1:00 pm-4:30 pm. The office is close on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
