Sumner County Economic Development Commission (SCEDC) will be offering training classes for businesses in our county and their employees, thanks to a grant from the South Central Kansas Economic Development District (SCKEDD) and matching funds being provided by the Sumner County Economic Development Commission (SCEDC).   The classes will be held in the SCEDC conference room at 123 N. Jefferson in Wellington.

Donald Cain The Wichita State University Kansas Small Business Development Center recently hired Donald Cain III as Consultant for the Cowley College KSBDC Outreach Center. In this position, Donald will provide free consultation services and affordable training to business owners and prospective business owners in a six county area. Prior to his new position, Donald served as Admissions Coordinator with Wichita Technical Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from Wichita State University. “Donald’s entrepreneurship background will be an asset as he works with area business owners,” said WSU KSBDC Regional Director, Marcia Stevens.

The Kansas Small Business Development Center is offering a Federal Tax Workshop for Small Business on Thursday, April 1, 1:00-5:00 PM at the WSU Hughes Metro Complex, Oliver and 29th North, Wichita, Kansas.  The cost of the workshop is $20.
