REGIONAL RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FORUM ANNOUNCED FOR SPRING OF 2023
The highly acclaimed Stand Up Rural America program will be taking their show on the road, arriving in Sumner County, Kansas, on April 4-5, 2023. This Regional Forum will feature 10 nationally renowned subject matter experts and successful economic development practitioners. The Forum will take place at the Kansas Star Event Center and is open to all stakeholders who are involved in the economic success of Rural America.
Participants will experience an event designed specifically for Rural America while receiving tangible tools and strategies to help their cities, counties and regions grow. This event is packed with informative and dynamic presentations, discussions and celebrating what makes Rural America special. Representatives from more than 30 states have attended previous Stand Up Rural America events in Tulsa, OK, Charleston, WV, and Somerset, KY while garnering high praise for the superior level of speakers, quality content and excellent networking opportunities.
Featured speakers for this 2023 Stand Up Rural America Regional Forum include Brad Thomas (Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives), Darren Drewitz (MindEcology), Jimi Coplen (The Rural Spark), Daron K. Roberts (Stay in the Deep End), Lorie Vincent (ACCELERATION by design) and Jeff Siegler (Revitalization, or Die). In addition, we will feature an exciting practitioner panel and welcome our very special guest, Lt. Governor David Toland. Registrants will also enjoy a “Taste of Kansas” evening of Networking & Hospitality.
This Summit is targeted towards Economic Development Organizations, Chambers of Commerce, Cities, Counties, State & Regional Economic Development Agencies, Downtown Associations, Utilities, Lenders, Elected Officials, Community & Industry Leaders, and anyone with a vested interest in the growth and prosperity of Rural America.
The summit is presented by ACCELERATION by design LLC, an economic development consulting firm based in Cedar Park, Texas. The Sumner County Economic Development Commission will be hosting the Regional Forum. The Kansas Star Event Center is located in Mulvane, KS, just south of Wichita, KS.
